Lab wins third position in IJM day photo contest
Lab outing with the Courtier lab
We visited the Musée des arts et métiers and then had pizzas altogether.
Course des Héros
Rebekah and Nikos represented the lab in today’s Course des Héros in support of the Fondation de Recherche Médicale
Defense day for Rebekah and Nikos
Rebekah defended her M2 thesis today and Nikos defended his HDR.
Welcome Helena!
Helena Lew-Kiedrowska joins the lab for a 2-month summer internship. Helena is Neuroscience and Molecular Engineering double major from the University of Chicago.
The lab turns 1 year old
…and we celebrated with a lab lunch and a visit at the Pompidou. On to the next ones!
Temporal transcription factor paper published
We publish today in Nature the complete temporal series of transcription factors in the Drosophila medulla neuroblasts. We identify the genetic interactions between the temporal transcription factors (tTFs) that allow the series to progress. We show how the tTFs regulate neuronal identity transcription factors and identify the birth order and temporal window of origin for all neuronal types. Finally, we describe the very first steps that a neuron takes to differerentiate. Link
Spatiotemporal integration review published
We publish today in Frontiers in Neuroscience a review discussing possible mechanisms for integration of spatial and temporal patterning that are often not coincident. Link
Fly Cell Atlas published today
The Fly Cell Atlas was published today in Science. Our lab has contributed to this effort as part of the Fly Cell Atlas consortium.
Welcome Rebekah!
Rebekah Rakotonirina-Ricquebourg joins the lab as an M2 from the Magistère Européen de Génétique at the University of Paris. Rebekah did her undergraduate studies at the University of Paris.
Welcome Elsa!
Elsa Iliopoulou joins the lab as an Ingénieur d’études. Elsa received her M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from the University of Crete where she studied the evolution of non-coding elements in teleost fish.
First result of the lab!
Nicola performed an in situ HCR against Hth in Drosophila L3 developing brains.
